Describe what you make or sell?

Offering parented and un-parented yoga classes for children 18 months - 12 years in Calgary and surrounding area. Little Lotus Children's yoga features a unique program called Mini Me Yoga where the classes have a focus on children's yoga and meditation. All classes are FUN and engaging, while teaching children about deep breathing, relaxation, body awareness through movement activities and games, the use of positive affirmations, as well as meditation. I also offer the Mini Me Yoga Workshop for Grownups, where in as little as 2 hours, child caregivers, babysitters, teachers, parents and anybody who works with children can learn the Mini Me Yoga program and bring it into your daily routine with children in as little as 15 minutes a day. Each workshop participant leaves with a complete understanding of the program and all the tools required (including a deck of Magic yoga cards) to use immediately. Certificates of completion are also included. At the show, I will be selling gift certificates for children's classes, the adult workshops as well as 'Yoga and Socialize' certificates (for those who want the 2-hour workshop, but in the comfort of their own home with close family or friends).

 

What inspires you to make what you sell? ~ OR ~ What are you most proud of making?

I am a mom of two beautiful children and they are what inspires me to want to do children's yoga with others. My daughter loves moving, stretching and doing yoga and I can see how confident and peaceful she is when using some of the breathing techniques and yoga poses she has learned with me. I love just sitting and colouring with my children, which is a form of meditation for all of us. I want to be able to bring this into other little one's lives too, so that we can have strong, happy, joyful children everywhere.
