Describe what you make or sell?

I make and sell 100% natural vegan bath products including soap, epsom soaks, and bath and body oils. All of the oils I use are certified organic and all of the scents are essential oil blends. There are no synthetic fragrances or colours or crazy chemicals in any of our products. The entire product line is plant based, cruelty free, and never tested on animals! No bee products or palm oil are used in any of the products.

 

What inspires you to make what you sell? ~ OR ~ What are you most proud of making?

It is very difficult to find bath products in local drugstores that do not contain animal ingredients, are not tested on animals, or do not contain some type of chemical concoction! This fact combined with my passion for improving animal welfare inspired me to start creating my own products and now through Lenity Soap I get to share them with everyone else! It also doesn't hurt that they smell absolutely amazing and make your skin feel so good!

 

Is there anything else you'd like people to know?

Many people think that Lenity is a made up word, but it actually means kindness and compassion. A portion of every sale that we make is donated to local animal rescues in and around Calgary. We are currently working closely with The Alice Sanctuary and you can often find me volunteering there. Being able to actually interact with the animals you are helping is an incredible feeling.

 

If you could travel far far away, where would you go right now?

It isn't very far, but I would go spend a day or two at Chesterman Beach in Tofino. I always feel so rejuvenated just watching the ocean waves crashing in and breathing in the fresh coastal air. Then I would quickly return because I love my home here and my friends and family and I would miss visiting the animals at the sanctuary!
